Preparation is essentail, and if extra effort is what it takes to avoid mistakes, I'm all for it. :)

I'm looking at all those designations following your name and recognizing a fellow 'learning junkie'.

And I agree, I'm inclined to acknowledge that most of my mistakes have been from a lack of preparation.  On the otherhand, most of my failure to attempt is the worry that I'll make a mistake....

I agree preparation is key.  But I like a quote from James Joyce.."Mistakes are the portals of discovery."

Perhaps the discovery is that we haven't properly prepared!
