Lou Ludwig Success Tips: Without a Target What Are You Aiming For

Without a Target What Are You Aiming For

Without a Target What Are You Aiming For

“People are like guided missiles. Without a target, they

wander aimlessly across the horizon and

eventually self-destruct.”

Edge Keynote

As I see it . . . . . . . .

Without a target what are you aiming for?

Without a target to aim for in your life? . . . .  Your life will be without a clear direction . . . . or goals to aim for. Your life will drift without a direction . . . . Your time will be wasted . . . . and when everything is said and done there will be very little to show for your efforts.

The choice is simple . . . . you either have a direction in your life . . . . or you don’t.

Create a running list of what you want to accomplish . . . . Next put them in them in writing in their order importance to you. As you achieve a goal cross it off your list. Here’s the key your list should can and should grow.

You list is a wish list . . . . when you put your list into writing it becomes a goal with a timeline. You are far more likely to achieve a written goal become your goal is a target.

Without a target what are you aiming for? . . . .  you have to know what it is to . . . . achieve it.

Hi Lou

This is pretty important stuff. It's pretty hard to aim when you don't know what you are aiming at, if you are aiming at anything at all.

Thanks for the inspiration.

Good morning Lou Ludwig ,

I couldn't agree more with you! In personal and business you need to have goals and a target and joy the ride along the way to achieving them!

Good morning Lou. You need a destination to plan your journey. Enjoy your day!

Lou, I agree. You aren't going to land where you want if you don't aim for a target. Planning our goals out gives us direction.

I remember, long ago, getting wise advice about this topic. Imagine you get in your car and start driving - where are you going? Without a destination, or clear directions - eventually you're going to run out of gas.

I so agree Lou - having a target and writing it out is key! So many agents don't have a business plan. Plans don't need to be complicated!

Great advice here Lou - the key is to have SMART goals which include target and time.

Take Aim at your goals and have the target in site and the closer you get to the target the better you are going to get a bullseye for sure.

It's always important to know what our target is, so we know which direction to focus our efforts on.

This is a good reminder for all of us to stay focused during the holiday season.

I like that quote, Lou.  I was doing a little direction finding with one of my grandkids recently.  He is in search of a "good destiny."  We talked about targets to help guide him there.  We also talked about our "mistakes" which are actually lessons in what gets us off track.

I'm so glad that Barbara Todaro re-blogged this post of yours. You were right on the market with this one. If you don't know or understand your target audience  you won't know how to reach them and your attempts will be futile.
