Lou Ludwig Success Tips: Is It a New Year Commitment?

Is It a New Year Commitment?

Is It a New Year Commitment?

“A New Year resolution is something that is made.

It goes in one year and out the other

without any lasting results.”

Lou Ludwig Sales and Management Consultant,

Success Coach, Speaker, Trainer and Author

As I see it. . . . . . . .

Is it a New Year commitment?

People make a New Year Resolution many of which turn out to be a like to . . . . a maybe . . . . an if I can . . . . or if only I had the time.

A New Year resolution . . . . is a conversation that you have with yourself.

Most New Year resolutions have a very short life . . . . they soon die . . . . and become forgotten.

What’s important to you in 2017?

What do want to accomplish in 2017?

What are your 2017 goals?

Make a written list of what you want to achieve in the coming year. Make a commitment to achieve successful closure on each item on your commitment list.

Make a New Year commitment . . . . to achieve what’s on your list 2017 . . . . and it will become a New Years commitment to yourself to achieve your goals.

Good morning Lou! In with the New Year and out usually before the end of January! Make a goal, not a resolution! Enjoy your day!

Lou, have never made a New Year's resolution, if things need to change, it needs to happen then, not end of year.

Good morning, Lou -- I resolved to stop making New Year's resolutions...it's one day at a time that helps keep me on track.

Good Morning, Lou Ludwig - I'm echoing what Michael Jacobs had to say, "I resolved to stop making New Year's resolutions!"

Happy New Year and thank you for the daily motivational/inspirational posts!

You're definitely on point, Lou!  You can have all the resolutions, goals, etc.. written out; but if you don't have the commitment to succeed with them, then they won't ever come to fruition.  Great point!  And perfect timing!

I've never believed in New Year's resolutions and do not make them. I do believe in goals, however. Big difference!

I don't do new year's resoluations andymore because they were too hard to keep and then I got discouraged. But I make personal and professional goals with a  friend of mine each year and being able to check off the goals that I actually reach each year makes me feel as though I am moving forward in my life.

Lou, I agree as New Years resolutuons are a waste of time. Work out a plan and then stick to it..
