Lou Ludwig Success Tips: The School of Hard Knocks

The School of Hard Knocks

The School of Hard Knocks

“Most people once they graduate from the school of

hard knocks, automatically enroll in the

university of adversity.”

Peter McWilliams, 1949 – 2000, Writer

As I see it . . . . . . .

The school of hard knocks

In most schools when you graduate you’ll receive a diploma. When you graduate from the school of hard knock . . . . You will have your bumps and bruises . . . . and the life experiences to make you a stronger person.

No school can prepare you for the future the way that the school of hard knocks can. It will prepare you . . . . to get up after you have been knocked down . . . . and to successful deal with your challenges.

The admission to the school of hard knocks can be high . . . . but the life lessons become invaluable in pursuing your goals.

Hard knocks happen when you least expect them . . . . and you will be graded on how we respond to them.

Attending the school of hard knocks may not be pleasant . . . . but you can choose when you graduate . . . .  and how you apply the life lessons that you have learned.

Lou Ludwig In my experience the school of hard knocks has been the most expensive school I've ever attended.

Lou I loved your observation better than the Quote you named:

Attending the school of hard knocks may not be pleasant . . . . but you can choose when you graduate . . . .  and how you apply the life lessons that you have learned.

Good morning Michael. You can't be in business and not have learned many lessons the hard way, hopefully once learned these are mistakes that aren't made again.

Oh I have attended that school and though I hope I had graduated I think I might be going back for a remedial refresher. Not looking forward to it.

Lou I love this one - because you can CHOSE whenever you want to graduate!  My Dad used to use this phrase and I never really understood it as a kid - do now!

I think I got a PHD from the best Hardknock University in that case. I would not change it for anything though, I know it was a better education then any college could provide to be successful.
