Lou Ludwig Success Tips: Talent is Like Electricity

Talent is Like Electricity

Talent is Like Electricity

“Electricity makes no judgment. You can plug into it and

light up a lamp, keep a heart pump going, light a

cathedral, or you can electrocute a person with

it. Electricity will do all that. It makes no

judgment. I think talent is like that.

I believe every person is

born with talent.”

Maya Angelou 1928 – 2014, American Author, Poet,

Dancer, Actress, Singer

As I see it . . . . . . .

Talent is like electricity

Every person . . . . is born with talent.

Like electricity . . . . your talent is always there some people realize that . . . . and make the most of their talent . . . . While other seen to be looking for the switch to turn it on. Some will turn it on . . . . and there are some that will never turn the switch on.

In order to maximize the use of your talent . . . . you have to direct your talent in the right direction . . . . and plug your goals into it to keep them energized.

Having talent . . . . and not self directing it is like leaving the lights on when no one is in the room. The meter is spinning; the electricity is going to be wasted . . . . and no one benefits.

Talent is like electricity . . . . you have to turn it on . . . .  plug into it . . . . and have a purpose to use it for. When you make the best use of it . . . . Do it with a purpose it will light the way for your success journey . . . . . and you will experience long term benefits from it.

LOVE this analogy Lou.

You are correct every person is born with a set of unique gifts and talents and what they choose to do with them is up to them

Lou- I have to agree with Rob Thomas , this is definitely one of your best.  Focus and direction need to accompany talent for it to succeed.

I agree Lou that everyone has talents. Many people don't know what their talents are and need to discover them.

EVERY person IS born with talent. They are our gift(s) from our heavenly Father!  My goal is to use them to His glory. Thank you for reminding me who is to be glorified. ♥

Lou, sometimes it takes a life time to discover ones talents even though others may have recognized them already.

Hi Lou Ludwig ,  Everyone has talent, some more than others, like  Maya Angelou, American Author, Poet, Dancer, Actress and Singer. I'm not know for any of those, but I have other talents.

All of us have talents, but they are different things.

WE may be born with a talent, but we must cultivate and work the talent for it to be fully useful.

Lou how ironic since she passed away I have seen so many great quotes from her, I wish I have seen as many when she was alive...she clearly was ahead of her time:), Endre

A lot of people who believe in God do so in this same way: as kind of something to plug into.

Endre Barath, Jr. I used to see Dr. Angelou on PBS quite a lot back in the day and rather recently before she passed. So much infinite wisdom no matter how Beautiful or flawed a person she was or wasn't. As far as I know, she might be one of our greatest treasures to ever walk the earth.

Good Tuesday morning Lou. I too like the analogy. We need to plug into our talents.

I love the quote, Lou.  Though, I'm wondering where my talent went.  Maybe I'm not plugged into the right socket.

Maya Angelou was so wise! I always tell people to "stay electric." People often ask me why I say that specifically, and this post perfectly explains my thought process on it.

Lou Ludwig very well said....

"Every person . . . . is born with talent."

I tell some of the friends the same thing - you have a talent, make best use of it.

Lou Ludwig This is one of the prime reasons that so many 'Coaches' thrive. They are talented and can motivate as a result. In fact, this 'electricity' borders on sheer entertainment.

Some simply don't believe they have any talent - or they look at what they do have and believe it worthless. So sad.

I need to keep reminding myself to focus on the aspects of my business where my talents lie. I can burn a lot of energy working on things that should better be delegated.
