Motivational Power Quote
Character is Forged in Having Higher Standards
“You cannot dream yourself into a character; you
must hammer and forge yourself one.”
James A. Froude 1818 – 1894, English Historian, Novelist,
Biographer, Editor of Fraser’s Magazine
As I see it . . . . . . .
Character is forged in having higher standards
We meet people that tell us how great they are . . . . they ask us to trust them . . . . and to follow them.
They tell us what they’re going do for us . . . . and proclaim how our future will be better because of them.
When something goes wrong they try to disassociate them self from it is fast as they can . . . . look for someone to blame . . . . and have a million excuses why it was not their fault.
They lack character . . . . and can’t be trusted to do anything they say their going to do.
Character is not something you get by title . . . . a promotion . . . . with seniority.
Character is forged in having higher standards . . . . . and in consistently applying those standards.
A person with character . . . . is someone who talks the talk . . . . and reinforces it by walking the walk. When they make a commitment they keep it.
Character is forged in having higher standards . . . . and they delivers those standards in your actions and to their customers consistently.
