Motivational Power Quote
When it Doesn’t Feel Right – It’s Time to Step Back
“Every time I’ve done something that
doesn’t feel right, it’s ended up not being right.”
Mario Cuomo, Former Governor of New York State
As I see it. . . . . . . .
When it doesn’t feel right – it’s time to step back
When it doesn’t feel right . . . . it’s time to step back and evaluate what your being asked to do.
There will be times that you’re going to be asked to make a fast decision without being given all the facts . . . . which can become a recipe for a disaster.
Or you can be asked to compromise your values . . . . to complete a real estate transaction .
When it doesn’t feel right - it’s time to step back . . . . and step way.
That decision will be a choice between doing what’s right . . . .and doing what’s can be on the edge of being ethical.
Doing what’s right is making the decision . . . . that you know is right in your heart. You also know that the decision is the right one to make . . . . and the right one for the parties involved.
When you do what’s right not everyone will be happy with your decision . . . . but it’s the right decision to make.
The question becomes one of what is the right thing to do . . . . and who are you making the decision for?
When you make the decision to what’s politically correct in the moment you are making the decision to meet other people’s expectations. They may feel good about the decision but in the long run you know . . . . in your heart that you have not made the right decision.
When it doesn’t feel right . . . . It’s not and you don’t have to do it.
The person that does what’s right is making that decision based on their values and their character. Overtime . . . . other people will judge you by you by your character and your actions.
When it doesn’t feel right – step back. . . . and don’t do it . . . . Go with your values and do what’s right . . . .
