Lou Ludwig Success Tips: Breaking Away

Breaking Away

Motivational Power Quote

Breaking Away

“There is nothing more genuine than breaking away from

the chorus to learn the sound of your own voice.”

Po Bronson, American Author, Journalist

As I see it . . . . . . .

Breaking away

We can go through life being part of the pact engaging in group think and . . . . doing what everyone else is doing because there seems to be safety in numbers . . . . and because everyone else is doing it.

The pact discourages free thinking and having an option . . . . in following the pact everyone moves in the same direction and at the same pace.

The pact has no real leader . . . . and everyone in the pact is moving aimlessly without any defined purpose.

Breaking away from the pact takes courage . . . . and a leap of faith to step out of your comfort zone and to have your own voice.

You will only know what you’re capable of doing . . . . by stretching your limits by breaking away from the status quo and finding your own voice.

Once you stretch your limits you change the course of your life and redirect your future . . . . In breaking away you will find your true destiny.

Hi Lou - So true.  I have left several organizations in my life because no matter how great my ideas might have been, they were quashed with the simple statement:  That's not the way we do it here.  So I finally learned the lesson:  I took my ideas and went out on my own and out-performed them all.

These days, I am a broker associate with a great firm that welcomes and encourages us to think outside the box and try new things.  I am no longer a sole practitioner because I moved to an area where I knew no one and appreciated the support of an established company.  Now that I have been here for years, I stay because of the freedom I enjoy.

Not all ideas will work, but even setbacks teach us new things.  Good post!!
