Motivational Power Quote
The Leader Sets the Standards
“A general is just as good or as just as bad as the
troops under this command make him.”
General Douglas MacArthur 1880 - 1964, 5 Star
General US Army
As I see it . . . . . . .
The leader sets the standards
When a leader leads with integrity others will follow them, when a leader leads by indifference he will stand alone without support.
Leaders in every profession earn the right to lead . . . . Leadership by title or position puts the person in a leadership position but in itself does not create a leader or earns the person the right to lead.
True leaders earn the respect of the people that they lead and that respect earns the person the right to lead.
Businesses have an organizational chart of the formal leadership in the company. In many businesses there is informal leadership in the company . . . . a person that people go to for help or to get things done.
Sports teams have coaches and managers but there is someone on the team the recognized and the team leader.
The leader sets the standards . . . . for the team or the organization and as the leader leads . . . .so goes the team or the organization.
