Lou Ludwig Success Tips: Experts Know What to Ignore

Experts Know What to Ignore

Motivational Power Quote

Experts Know What to Ignore

"An expert is someone who has succeeded

in making decisions and judgments

simpler through knowing what

to pay attention to and

what to ignore."

Edward de Bono, Author

As I see it. . . . . . . .

Experts know what to ignore

We do things everyday of our life and we do them without much thought, they are ingrained habits.

A habit can either be good or bad, productive or unproductive. Our habits set the course for our life's direction. Productive habits move us in the direction of achieving our goals and to achieving a higher level of success. A negative or poor habit weights our success journey down and creates a drag on our objectives and career.

An expert knows what's required to achieve success. They will focus their daily activities on the most important things that will have to be accomplished to keep them on track and moving in the right direction.

Successful people also understand the value of their time. Not only will they focus on the most important things that have to be done. But they are aware what has to be ignored in order to maximize the use of their time.

To maximize their time they will have to take a realistic look at their activities and eliminate the old unproductive habits. The old habits will have to replace with new activities that with form the basic of forming new and more productive habits that will help them to maximize the use of their time and to accelerate their success journey.

There is no one single thing that determines a person success but there are number of things that can derail a person's success journey. The improper use of time can become a major road block in a person's success journey that prevents them from reaching their potential.

Experts know what to ignore, be the expert of your life and career and maximize the use of your time and energy to achieve your life's goals.

So very true.  I've watched folks throughout my life make decisions tougher by trying to include every fact, when it really pays to determine the important ones and go from there.

Love this post.

All the best, Michelle

Excellent advice, Lou.

I can relate this to some of my 'expert' investor clients who have all the numbers on their fingertips...

We seem to put experts and successful people in ivory towers.  However being extremely knowledgeable in one's field is expected and we all know success is a journey not a destination…

Such a timeless message today.  I've always likened things that we should ignore as knats, the pesky little flying bugs.

They are there, when you want them the least, and swatting them away is necessary.
