Lou Ludwig Success Tips: The Choice

The Choice

Motivational Power Quote

The Choice

"A friend of mine has a great attitude:

when something doesn't go his way,

instead of crying over spilt milk,

he just milks another cow."

Alexander Lockhart, author

As I see it. . . . . . . .

The choice

There are times in our life that we spill the milk or in other words thing just flat out don't work out the way we have planned for them to.

Spilling the milk can represent many things, an end to a relationship, a lost business opportunity, a lost sale, a missed promotion and the list goes on.

Spilling the milk isn't the end of the world. We have reached a point where something has not worked and we are experiencing a temporary delay on our success journey.

Once the milk has been spilt out, it represents the end of stage in our life. The opportunity the milk represented fades away and is no longer available to us.

What happens next becomes the choice and becomes a key element of success journey and the direction that our journey takes.

We can sit there and try to live in the past. If we do we will live in a life of regret of what was, or what was lost. The result of living past is living in an ocean of spilt milk and eventually the spilt milk of regret will pull us under and drain the life out of us and our future.

The future is yet to be and we have it within our capacity to shape our future. We have to be willing to let go of our past spilt milk and find the milk of our future and create our future and destiny.

It' only when we make the choice to move on do we find the milk of our future and the benefits that our futures holds for us.

Why buy the cow if you can get the milk for free? More positive advice you are famous for Lou.

Lou, very well, if one thing has failed and can't be resolved, it's time to move on to something else.

Hi Lou:

This quote made me smile...

Kind of reminds me of "when life gives you lemons, make lemonade"

Lou, Thanks for the post.  Similar metaphor: "Who Moved my Cheese?"  I like that book as well.  I also create lists of "imaginary" things to get over the things I missed.  I have imaginary ballroom dancing lessons these days and an imaginary fourplex a while ago (but I've gotton over that one).  Cheers, Irene
