Lou Ludwig Success Tips: Plan With a Purpose

Plan With a Purpose

Motivational Power Quote

Plan With a Purpose

"If you plan for one year,

plant rice.

If you plan for ten years

plant trees.

If you plan for 100 years

educate mankind."

Chinese Proverb

As I see it. . . . . . . .

Plan with a purpose . . . .

What are your long term objectives and how will you accomplish them? How will you know if you're on course?

Planning starts with the end in mind and in writing.  Starting today what will have to be done to reach the desired objective?

Plan in short and medium point milestones to keep you focused and on track.

Have a purpose with your planning and your activities to achieve your objectives.

Invest your time in high value activities to move forward and monitor your progress.

Plan with a purpose and move forward.

I forgot who I heard it from, ..... use the bulk of your time to get appts because it is these appts that get us to the point of contracting writing.  This was helpful for me.

Great quotes. Basically I reviiew everything I do and ask is this getting me to my goal or taking me away from it? I think I got it from Brian Tracey but anyone of the gurus could have come up with it. Common sense isn't it?

Hi Todd

Brian Tracy is outstanding, and it sounds like your right on tract.

Thanks for stopping by.

My friends like to call me the Five-Year Man because I plan my business and life in five-year increments. Once I have the five-year goal, I break it down into years, months, weeks, days, and sometimes even hours. Then I work those days and hours persistently and consistently, which always causes the weeks, months, and years to fall naturally in place.

There's a new book on the market titled something like "10-10-10." The basic premise is to make decisions based on how they will affect you in the next 10 minutes, 10 months, and 10 years, but I think 10 years is too long, especially in today's modern age because things change so rapidly. Even when I started my five-year planning protocol, the world changed very rapidly in those five years.

I do like to plant trees, though, so I'm planting one in your blog this morning.
