Motivational Power Quote
Stay Calm In Times of Stress
"Calmness is the cradle of power."
Josiah Gilbert Holland
As I see it. . . . . . .
Stay calm in times of stress.
The person that stays calm in the time of stress stays in control.
The person that becomes reactive loses control and respect.
Calmness in a time of stress places the person in a power position.
The person that becomes combative loses power and weakens their position.
An example would be in negotiations the person that reminds calm and focused on the outcome has the power position in the negotiations and will negotiate successfully.
Remind calm for maximum impact.

So important in today's environment. There are plenty of opportunities for us all to lose our heads these days. One must always take a step back and think about the consequences of losing their cool. If we all did that things would be a lot better. Good post and best of luck.
Lou, great quote. Losing the ability to remain calm takes away ones objectivity. It's neither productive nor practical.
Lou,
I had a client last weekend who asked how I looked so calm when trying to find them the right house. I told her that if I show stress it's time to worry. After all it is a decision that my clients have to live with and I'm patient to that end...
Hi Lou-They say cool heads prevail. Great quote. <SMILE>
Hi Lou, Great advice - always advisable to stay calm in stressful situations. Often hard to remember to do, though.
Lou,
There's a ;lot to be said for remaining calm and in control - even in a demanding situation. :)

I am yet to meet or see any leader or salesperson that has had real, meaningful, and sustained success while acting reckless or agitated.
