Motivational Power Quote
Reach a Point in Your Career
“It is the studying that you do after school days that really
counts. Otherwise, you know only that which everyone
Henry Doherty 1870 – 1939, American Businessman
As I see it . . . . . . .
Reach a point in your career
It’s very common to reach a point in your career that you feel that you have it covered . . . . and have all the answers.
That point can be reached at any time in your career. For one person that’s relatively new in their field it can happen very quickly . . . . and become an anchor. That anchor can slow their professional development to a crawl. If adjustments are not made the person will struggle to keep their head above water . . . . and will eventually sink.
For a person that has been involved in business for a long period of time. . . . it becomes the threshold of complicacy in the status quo. Without keeping pace with the continuous learning and professional development that’s required to stay reverent in their profession . . . . they slowly fall behind the curve of remaining competitive in their profession.
It’s what you learn – after you know what you know . . . . that will give you a strategic business advantage and determine the direction and the pace of your career.
You reach a point in your career . . . . Where complacency can bring your success journey to an early end . . . . When you think you know all there is to know look for new questions.
